On May 5th, 2022, we said “I do” and began our journey as husband and wife. The Power Couple.
From the very beginning, we made a conscious decision to enjoy our marriage, build our friendship, settle into a new country, and put certain structures in place before starting a family. We wanted to grow together, learn each other deeply, and enjoy the beautiful gift of marriage before embracing parenthood.
What we did not know was that while we were making plans, God was directing our steps.
The Years of Service
We imagined years filled with holidays, quiet moments, and endless adventures together. Instead, much of our early years of marriage became a journey of purpose and service. One project led to another. What started as simple meditation eventually evolved into THE ARK APP, and alongside many other assignments, our lives became deeply invested in serving God’s people.
Every time it seemed like it was finally time to slow down and focus on ourselves, another opportunity to serve appeared. Yet through it all, we were having some of the most beautiful years of our lives, growing together, loving each other, strengthening our friendship, and witnessing God’s faithfulness every step of the way.
The Encounter
One moment we will never forget was meeting our father, Apostle Joshua Selman, in Manchester Sound of Revival in 2023.
As he lovingly spoke with us, he asked how long we had been married. We told him we were approaching two years. Ready to pray for us for children, he began to release blessings over us. Then my wife, with a smile, gently said, “Daddy, we’re not ready yet.”
In his usual fatherly way, he smiled, embraced us, and said:
The Shift“Whenever you’re ready, it will not take time.”
Apostle Joshua Selman, Manchester 2023
Those words stayed with us.
Fast forward to 2025. Around our birthdays, we felt a peace in our hearts that the season had changed. We felt ready. Ready to embrace the next chapter God had prepared for us.
And just as our father had spoken years earlier, it truly did not take time. Shortly afterward, we discovered we were expecting.
Reflection
For us, this testimony is precious because we know many families make plans and then face long seasons of waiting. We know that no amount of human planning can guarantee outcomes. As Scripture reminds us, it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy.
And mercy is exactly what God showed us.
This testimony is not about our planning. It is not about our wisdom. It is not even about our timing. It is about God’s timing.
Perhaps that is why my name is God’sTime. Looking back now, we can clearly see that every season unfolded exactly as Heaven intended.
GratitudeToday, our hearts are filled with gratitude. We are grateful for the years of friendship. Grateful for the years of service. Grateful for the lessons, the growth, the assignments, and the journey.
And now, we are grateful for this precious gift, a beautiful bundle of joy entrusted to us by God.
Encouragement
To everyone trusting God for one promise or another, may this encourage you: when God writes your story, nothing is late. Nothing is delayed. Nothing is forgotten.
In His time, He makes everything beautiful. The God who orders seasons has once again proven Himself faithful.
To Him alone be all the glory.
